Dear Parent, Guardian, Staff Member or Community Member,
This posting serves as notice that a pesticide with a trade name of Bifenthrin I/T and an EPA registration number of 66000-196, is scheduled to be applied on Thursday and Friday, April 24, and 25, 2025 at each elementary school inside the perimeter of the
playgrounds. This application is being done to manage ticks as part of our Integrated Pest Management Program to ensure a safe and healthy school environment. Signs will also be posted prior to this application taking place, and will remain at least 48 hours after the application in accordance with the district's IPM plan and in compliance with the Maine Board of Pesticides Control Regulation CMR 01-026 Chapter 27.
For further information regarding this action, please contact the Facilities Management Department at 207-648-7993. - Apr 13, 2025 · George E Jack School

George E. Jack students participated in a virtual baking class sponsored by King Arthur Baking Company. Students received all the ingredients needed to bake 2 loaves of bread, and a recipe book with lots of other choices. Students were encouraged to make a loaf of bread for their family, and share a loaf of a bread with a member of the community. Look at all the delicious baking our students have done so far! Great work GEJ students and families, and thanks to Mrs. Sibley for signing us up for the program! - Mar 15, 2025 · George E Jack School

Greetings Bonny Eagle,
Due to the anticipated inclement weather and expected hazardous road conditions throughout the day, there will be No School for all MSAD 6 Schools on Thursday February 13, 2025.
While snow accumulations may stay low, the potential for icing is strongly contributing to this decision. If we try to hold school and the ice accumulates it would be too late to reverse the decision. For these reasons, I feel it is in the best interest of students and staff safety to close schools for the day.
With this snow day, our second of the year, the new last day of school will be Monday, June 16, 2025. We will formally update the calendar after the winter storm season is over.
I apologize for the inconvenience that comes with this decision. I am letting the community know in advance, rather than waiting until morning, so families can make plans. I won’t always be able to notify families in advance but feel that in this circumstance it is the right thing to do.
Some of you might be wondering about Remote Instruction days. You can read the full School Closing Procedure document including plans for remote days here: https://docs.google.com/…/1Nnje9S7XCcD-G6DaX_YZpnBmDq…/edit…. In short, remote instruction days are inconvenient for many parents and present challenges for some staff, especially those with their own young children at home. I will consider using remote instruction days after our third traditional snow day to avoid extending the school year deeper into June.
Stay safe during the storm and contact me with specific concerns or questions.
Regards,
Clay Gleason

School Closure notice from Superintendent Gleason
After careful consideration and consultation with weather forecasters and local emergency management, Bonny Eagle schools will be closed, Thursday, February 6, 2025 due to expected snowfall that will be heavy once it starts and predicted hazardous road conditions beginning in the middle of the day through the evening.
While you won’t likely see snow on the ground in the morning, I feel it is not safe or productive to bring students in for a half day of school at best and risk sending students and staff home on roads that are anticipated to become hazardous by 12:00.
I apologize for the inconvenience but I feel this is the best decision for student safety. With this snow day, our first of the year, the new last day of school will be Friday, June 13, 2025. We will formally update the calendar after the winter storm season is over.
I am letting the community know in advance, rather than waiting until morning, so families can make plans. I won’t always be able to notify families in advance but feel that in this circumstance it is the right thing to do.
As always, please contact me directly with questions or concerns.

Clay Gleason
